The age of digitally enhanced everything has opened up new arts and crafts doors. You can find free patterns on various craft and hobby projects on the Internet. You can use your computer, printer, and digital camera to create various crafts.

Creating your own fabric digital photo craft project can be a fun use for some of your photos that you have taken over the years with your digital camera. You have lots of family photos stored on CD's, online photo albums, and on your computer that you have been sharing online and offline with friends and families.

Your friends and families have mentioned photos that they like that you have taken. You have your own favorite photos. Why not make gifts for your family and friends of their favorite photos? Why not create your own personal crafts for your home?

You can make quilts, dish towels, T-shirts, throws, collages or any other craft project that will fit the personality of the gift recipient. The colors of the fabrics you choose can enhance the colors of the photos that you are using for the fabric and photo craft project.

Quilts, T-shirts, and scrapbooking have been the biggest uses of digital photos to date as far as crafts go. These three crafts are popular amongst people over the age of 30. This is due to that fact that they love to keep their personal memoirs close to heart and the vest.

Many people have created collages of their favorite photos. Photo collages are popular among teens because they show the photos of all their friends and fun activities that they attended.

Any photos that you have taken prior to the introduction of digital cameras, can be scanned into your computer and used for any craft projects. While this method takes longer than downloading the photos from your digital camera, scanning your photos onto your computer can open up even further crafts using your photos.

For instance, if you are a big genealogy buff, you can use the photos that even your grand parents or their parents took to make various craft projects that will fit into your genealogy hobby.

Tips for Creating Digital Photo Fabric Art Craft Projects

• You will need to print the photos that you want to use for your project onto the iron-on transfer sheets.

• You will want to choose fabrics that are compatible for the iron on transfer sheets.

• If you have a theme for your project, you will want your photos, fabrics, and other materials to coincide with your craft project.

• You can get your family and friends involved with the craft project for further ideas to add to it.

Photographer meet my Swiss army knife!

I am a firm believer that in order to excel in anything you must have a great many skills to accompany that one thing you are excelling at. That brings me to the title of my article “photographer meet my swiss army knife”. Many of you know me personally and many only professionally, I’ll dive in an explain the title. I have been told by many people “you are a great photographer, I love your pictures” Thus the “Photographer” part of the title, the rest “meet my swiss army knife” is a tribute to the many other skills I have picked up along the way in order to produce the results I am capable of doing. These skills include but are not limited to
Knowing where to get some of the worlds best cheese curds (Mauston, WI), Also Where to find such great props as lets say pink elephants, Or even how to change a flat tire in 10min so your not late to photograph a wedding, your actually early.

Now I’m joking a little bit, but thats just the kind of guy I am. Most people think being a great photographer is being able to frame the shot, and pressing the button. But what most people don’t think about is the preparation that goes into that shot. For instance our shot of the day, is probably not the most artistically pleasing but it captures the true emotion of the moment and made the groom and all who attended go nuts.

The number one skill is trust, if you can have your clients trust you they are willing to listen to you, CHECK.

Second is clear direction, I told Dylan to look at the camera after he threw the garter because (as has happened many times before) the bride and groom want to turn around a look, then you end up getting a picture of the back of their head, CHECK.

Three (here is the photographer part) setting up the flashes in order to create dynamic lighting and freeze the action, the room was really dark and if I had shot without flashes the action would have been blurry. I also had to make sure that the whole room was not lit because that just would have looked boring.

Four Love, as it says in the bible, without love you are but a clanging gong or banging cymbal. I get invested in my clients and I truly love them. This may seem a little weird but I get invested in their day and it becomes a part of who I am, in return that part of me is reflected in my work.

When I was leaving the wedding with the amazing Jon Good (an associate photographer for capfoto based out of Milwaukee) we were complemented by the parents and wedding guests on how awesome the photos were. Love the complement but they have not seen any of the photos yet. That is the sign of a job well done, our attitude throughout the day built a relationship of trust that in turn allowed us to take the amazing pictures we took.

this leads me to my last point of the article and the last blade on the swiss army knife. Personality is more imporant than skill. When I got home and shared this experience with my beautiful wife (and almost mother of our first child, due in about a week). We reflected on our wedding day and the wedding day of others and she made the comment that “if your photographer sucks the whole day is going to suck” which is true, we are with your from start to finish. If you trust and enjoy your photographer then taking beautiful pictures of you will be super simple, not a laborious process. Have a great week!

Interchangeable Magnetic Photo Cube You Make in Minutes

I made some Pix in the last months – please tell me your thoughts:

Rosen Lied Ravie by Hot_Pie

If you're like most people you have leftover vases from previous special occasions. Let your girls have a couple of these vases to make a unique flower and photo display that's fun and whimsical. Not only is the project ultra-easy, but in the end, it's a fabulous decor creation for her room or another area of the home.

Green floral sticks can be found in any craft or discount department store. The wooden sticks are pointed at one end and squared at the other. The pointed end makes it easy to stick the homemade flower into a Styrofoam wedge inside the vase. The Styrofoam will help hold the flowers and photos in place.

Let girls cut a chunk of Styrofoam and place it inside each vase. Now they're ready to start creating fun flowers and photo flowers for it. Supplies can include sheets of craft foam, felt, stiff decorative paper, or stiffened fabric. You may also want to use pom-poms, sequin, glitter, chenille pipe cleaners, and other selections from the craft department.

Cut the individual cups from an egg carton. The carton can be Styrofoam or cardboard. Paint the cups, stamp them, use stickers to decorate them, or even decoupage fabric pieces onto the cups.

Attach the squared end of the floral stick to the egg cup by poking a hole into the cup, on one side. Glue the stick in place. You can also tape the stick to the backside of the cup. The cup should have the open end facing you with the stick glued to the flat side on the back.

Cut floral shapes from foam. Shapes can be tulips, sunflowers, and similar designs. Now cut photos into circles and glue them to the center of the foam flower shapes. If you want, you can encircle the photo with tiny brass rings, chenille pipe cleaners, or other circular objects. Attach the back of the foam to the open side of the egg cup. You can now push the pointed end of the stick into the Styrofoam block to display.

There are lots of different ways to make the photo flowers, and other flowers, for the vase. Make one large flower shape from foam, glue on a smaller cloth shape, then an even smaller paper shape. Place the photo in the center and glue to the egg cup.

Some of the flowers will be photos and others can be just flowers. Make the flower shapes then add a pom-pom, fake jewel, or a gathering of sequin to the center. Place these creations in the same vase with the floral photos for a unique and beautiful flower arrangement.

The flowers and photo flowers can be used on other objects, too. Make the flowers – without the stick – and add them to the outside of a lamp, vase or other object. You can cut the egg cup down so that the flower doesn't stick out too far, but adding these flowers to other objects creates dimension and interest.

Small, lightweight craft frames, in shapes of hearts or even ovals, can be used in place of the foam flower shapes. Simply place the photo in the frame then glue the back of the frame to the egg cup. You'll find these frames in shapes of diamonds, flowers, squares and more.

Add other craft supplies to give your bouquet of photo flowers a little glitz. Glue tiny mirror shapes onto the floral sticks and place them, here and there, amongst the flowers and photos. Or, curl ribbon pieces, tape them to the floral sticks, and place them in the vase. The ribbons can curl up and outside the vase in random spots.

There are many variations to this same craft. Add suckers, on floral sticks, to the arrangement and you'll have candy for your friends as they stop by. Or, create a theme of photos for a friend, then add an “I Love You” balloon to the mix.

Purchase a few inexpensive craft supplies, set out a couple of old vases, and let your daughter – along with a few friends – create magnificent floral photo displays to keep or give as gifts. You'll treasure the one she makes you for years to come!

Here are a few of our Mountain Challenge entries that stood out and made me pause and ponder as I scrolled through the entries.

Again fantastic work everyone! The next challenge will be posted tomorrow and again you can see all of the entries located at the link on the right hand side of the page.

Mt. Rainier In All Her Glory” by Journey

Positively postcard worthy! It has everything that the quintessential mountain photo should have: wispy low hanging clouds, brilliant blue sky, green trees in the foreground and of course a rugged mountain.

“Mount Rainier Old School” by neens

Is it really just a picture of a postcard? Or did the photographer digitally manipulate into looking like it’s an old school photo postcard? I don’t know, but I like that the photo makes me ponder such things. Also it’s great that the photographer thought “outside of the box” and instead of just shooting a static photo of mountains they maybe took it a step further.

“On the Way to Hurricane Ridge” by April Lagrow

I like the muted color palette of this photo. Sure it’s grayish but the mountains and sky usually are gray so capturing them that way absolutely works and the lack of brilliant colors by no mean diminishes the beauty of the photo.

“Sign From Above” by Jerry Mercogliano

Nice composition with the light streaming into the middle of the frame also the scene makes for a very dramatic black and white photo. The whole shot is just very crisp with nice contrast and beautifully stacked layers (the layers being:the trees, the water, the mountains and the clouds) throughout the frame.

Miley Cyrus may be 17 years old — older than Britney Spears was when she released “…Baby One More Time” — but we still can't help but think of her as an 11-year-old on the Disney Channel in a goofy blonde wig. It's no wonder that her new sexed-up image for “Can't Be Tamed” is stirring up a little bit of controversy.

In 2008, Cyrus was criticized for baring her back on the cover of Vanity
Fair. Now, she's wearing cleavage-baring corsets and grinding with
dancers in videos, pretending to make out with girls on stage, and she
was even busted dirty-dancing with her “The Last Song” director Adam
Shankman. Her back should have been the least of anyone's worries.

On May 14, Cyrus wrapped filming on the final season of “Hannah Montana.” The season will air starting on July 11.

Perhaps Miley should've waited until after her Disney reign was over before busting out songs with lyrics like “I go through guys like money flying out their hands.”

Miley tells
the AP that she doesn't intend to push the envelope too far. “I'm not
trying to be slutty,” she says. “I'm not trying to be like, go to the
club and get a bunch of guys.” Miley is still dating her “The Last Song”
co-star, 20-year-old Liam Hemsworth.

“What I'm trying to do is to make a point with my record and look
consistent, in the way my record sounds and the way I dress,” Miley
says. “When you're 11, the word you would use to describe someone is
definitely
not sexy, and as you get older I think you grow into that. And I think
I've done that but that's not my schtick.”

Her new image may have
caused a few people to forget that she is still under age. Gossip
blogger Perez Hilton recently tweeted a photograph shot up
Miley's dress, taken while she was climbing out of a car. Hilton insists
that she was wearing underwear.

It's definitely arguable that
MIley has been forgoing wearing pants in videos and performances, so a
photo of her underwear-clad crotch didn't show us any more than we've
seen before. The key difference is the intent. Taking a photo up a
woman's dress is a violation — especially if the woman is a girl
of 17 years. It was clearly intended to incite scandal and embarrass
her.

The photographer and Perez Hilton were both crossing a
line, despite a recently released video in which a playful Perez says
“The reason I linked to that photo is because I thought she was exiting
that car in a very unladylike fashion, and you know I like to encourage
Miley to be ladylike.”

Don't expect Miley to put on pants any
time soon. “I'm really comfortable with my body,” she says. “I feel more

comfortable dressing with a little less, which is just how I've always
been. Now I'm able to do that a little more freely and, also, I've
just grown up to be this way too.”

It's great that you're
comfortable with your body, Miley… just give the world a little time
to catch up, please!

Photo Software That Uses Techniques From Canaletto
“Wide-angle lenses are great for taking dramatic photographs with a big scenic sweep, but they've got a big weakness too – they distort objects towards the edge of the frame. 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP COUNTDOWN by Pyngodan

FSV Mainz Fussball Trikot bestellen

I have been playing FIFA since 1998. I played on the PC version until FIFA08 when I switched to the PS3 for the online play. I also tested FIFA 09 on a friends PSP but not as happy.

I can tell you that FIFA 2008 is vintage in terms of graphics, game play and also the different modes of games available (be a pro, online unranked, ranked online, interactive league etc.) compared to FIFA 09Today in version 09 we find all these game modes.

- Playability / game play

The version 09 has great playability. The game is very fluid. It gives a feeling of freedom of movement that is becoming more common in these kinds of games. The player's actions and movements that you initiate immediately happen in the game. It is wonderful how you have such great control over your players.

The referees are on the ground, and when you play against AI, the referee is much more fair than in the previous version. It gives total freedom for you to define your strategies of attack / defense.

I find that the shooting is more difficult, the ball easily getting the height right on FIFA 08 was easier, and one on one against the goalkeeper is not as good either. But the difficulty adds to the realism. I would add that the game is fully accessible to a neophyte or the experienced footballer. That's an important point, few sports simulation have they are often only for experts or beginners.

- Music / atmosphere

One thing that I find interesting is that the game offers different languages. Europe has been doing this for years but this is the first time America has done that. It is fun to play it in Spanish for the feel of watching Soccer on the Spanish stations.

As to the fan atmosphere, I think all would agree that EA excels in this area with the chants of supporters, the comments (sometimes irritating in their repetition), crowd noise etc. You are immersed in the atmosphere of a soccer match.

- Finish Product

The graphics are a bit better than the 2008 version, especially the bleachers, the stadium and supporters. It was also the referee on the field with the referees who touches up their flag as required. The colors are exciting; the soundtrack is present and rich.

The video demo is also very well done even if it does nothing to the play, it adds to the atmosphere when you take the time to look around at the rest of the game.

The online version is great it is better then FIFA 08. I had the opportunity to play online; I had problems sometimes with time of latency or broken connections. But these problems are mainly related to quality of the connection of 2 players and are still better then FIFA 08, I would say that I have mostly good experiences online more then bad.

If you love soccer you will enjoy this game it is the best game of its kind.

Caesar Rodney High School senior Jazmine Reeves was racing toward the Tower Hill goal on a breakaway, her team down 1-0, with less than a minute to go in the Delaware High School Girls’ Soccer State Tournament championship Friday night at Appoquinimink High School.

As Reeves neared the goalie, the Tower Hill School defender she maneuvered around fell to the ground. The official called a foul, and C.R. coach Darrell Gravatt shook his head in disbelief on the sideline.

About 30 seconds later, the official whistle blew and Tower Hill School commenced the celebration of its first ever girls' soccer state championship.

No. 1 seed Tower Hill finished its season with an 18-1 record, while No. 3 seed Caesar Rodney also finished at 18-1.

After the game, Gravatt had no comment about the call against Reeves, instead tipping his cap to Tower Hill’s play.

“They’re a great team,” he said. “They played outstanding. They played very well. They’re well organized. Both teams played well. It was a very good game. Unfortunately, somebody’s got to lose.”

The only score of the defensive struggle came on a free kick taken by Tower Hill junior Grace Firestone at the 28th minute of the half.

Firestone, of Brandywine Hundred, said she and Tower coach Garry Chandler have been working on the free kick from that range all season, with Chandler emphasizing the importance of aiming for the crossbar.

“That’s what I aimed for and it came through,” Firestone said. “This is our first state championship. We were 2-14 four years ago. We knew it was possible with our young talent.”

Caesar Rodney had an immediate answer when Reeves broke free on the ensuing possession. But her shot bounced off the crossbar shortly before the half ended.

It continued a theme of frustration for the Riders as, earlier, Reeves had two breakaway chances in which her shot sailed wide left both times.

Caesar Rodney actually out shot Tower Hill 19-12. Reeves led the Riders with nine shots, while Kendal Robino led the Hillers with five.

But Tower Hill goalkeeper Kelsey O’Donnell had a stellar game with 16 saves while C.R. keeper Elayna Simpson finished a solid night with 11 saves.

Twice Tower Hill’s O’Donnell came out of goal to stop C.R.’s Reeves as she was attacking.

Chandler said the Hillers were very aware of how dangerous Reeves and teammate Courtney Hahn were, among others.

“I told our players, their forwards are faster than our back lines,” he said. “So, we just really have to do some things – run through timing and rhythm  – and really try to take them out of their sense of attacking rhythm,” Chandler said.

Tower Hill’s controlled defense helped to cause C.R. to be called offsides 10 times. The Hillers, meanwhile, were only offsides four times.

“I told the team, ‘This is the toughest team you’re going to play all season. They’re not undefeated for no reason,’” Chandler said.

Indeed, in a game that is all about creating opportunities, Caesar Rodney “had a ton of chances,” Gravatt said.

“You can’t ask for much more than that,” he said. “I think we did our best. I’m real proud of our girls. It’s tough to get to the state finals. They played their hearts out.

“It’s very frustrating. We had a lot of seniors. We thought we were going to win the game. We felt like we were the best team. It just didn’t happen.”

A Product Review of the 14.1″ Sony VAIO VGN-CR420E/N Laptop

Sony is known for their sleek designed and powerful black Vaio notebooks. Well this Vaio is offered in Pink and I have my hands on one. In this review I'm going to let you know if Sony's Vaios are just a pretty when they're in Pink. I'm going to let you know how loaded this thing is and who is going to get the most out of this notebook. Lets start at the top.

Hardware:

Operating system: Windows Vista Home Premium

Display: 14.1″ LCD screen

Processor: 2.0 Intel Core 2 Duo

Storage Space: 250 GB hard drive

RAM: 2 GB RAM (expandible upto a 4 GB maximum)

Optical Drive: CD R/RW with integrated DVD +/- R RW burner

Graphics Accelerator: Intel GMA X3100 graphics card

Weight 5.5 lbs

Dimensions: 13.2 x 9.8 x 1.67 inches

Well, out of the box the first thing you notice is that it is Pink. Ideally the consumer would be obviously be geared towards the younger female market – it's not a very professional look. Also beware of the glossy exterior that is a scratch magnet so be careful when taking it in and out of its case. The second thing I notice is the 14.1″ widescreen XBRITE LCD running at a resolution of 1280×800. It is very nice, crisp, and bright. It has a glossy finish and looks great when you compare it to other models side by side. If you get a chance to see one of these in person in a retail store I would recommend it.

The processor is fairly strong. It isn't going to play graphically intensive games but it will hold its own with mild to moderate 3d rendering. The integrated graphics card limits things a little. The 2gb of ram is a little bit of a limitation too. If you're interested in doing a lot of multitasking, using Photoshop in conjunction with other editing programs etc. then I would consider upgrading the RAM.

It's mobility is great, it is fairly light which is a good thing I guess for a notebook designed to be carried by teenage or 20 something girls.

Connectivity:

Integrated WiFi (connect to a wireless lan)

Integrated Bluetooth (connect wirelessly with any enabled device, wireless mice, phones etc)

3 2.0 USB ports (industry standard connection, use with printers iPods, digital cameras etc.)

1 FireWire port (for quick data transfer between a digital camcorder, or from PC to PC)

ExpressCard slot

Memory Stick and SD card readers

1 VGA output (to connect upto a standard monitor)

1 S-Video output (connect to a project for your video output)

The connectivity here is fairly standard. You'll be able to do just about anything you need to do. I hope you have a Sony camera though so you can insert your memory card directly into the notebook; otherwise you'll have to invest in a card reader. It bothers me that Sony only supports their own format of solid state memory. At $1100 it is priced just right. I would think that just about any student would love to have this notebook. It will do everything you need it to from school work to watching movies and managing pictures and music. Keep an eye on this one though often prices will drop on these off colored notebooks before the rest of the stock so these can often be used as a barometer of nearing sales.

Rory Reid takes you on a tour of the 17.3-inch Asus G73 gaming laptop;this is the first that features the ATI Radeon HD 5870 GPU — ATI’s fastest mobile graphics card to date. The model sold in the UK, the G73Jh, also features an Intel Core i7-720QM CPU, 1TB of storage, a Blu-ray drive, and 8GB of DDR3 memory. It’s available now for around £1900.

Unlike the nominally 1.73GHz Core i7-820QM, the i7-720QM has only 6MB of Level 3 cache rather than 8MB. More is better, and Intel always equips its flagship CPUs with 2MB of highest-level cache per physical core.

Equally, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 isn’t the equal of its desktop relative, thanks to the small dimensions of the card and the limited cooling ability of a laptop. While a desktop HD 5870 packs 1,600 stream processors into the GPU, which run at 850MHz, the laptop equivalent has half the number of stream processors and runs at 700MHz. However, the laptop GPU has more than half the number of transistors and a TDP of 50W, while the desktop card consumes 188W (ATI doesn’t quote directly comparable power and heat figures for the desktop and laptop parts).

However, with 800 stream processors, the Radeon Mobility HD 5870 is closer in configuration to the capable, but mid-range Radeon HD 5770 desktop card, although it has a slower GPU (700MHz compared to 850MHz).

Still, with a ludicrous 8GB of 1,333MHz DDR3 memory, our review version of the G73 was hardly likely to be slow. Asus has seen fit to pack in two 500GB Seagate Momentus 7200.4 hard disks, and as their name suggests, these have spindle speeds of 7,200rpm rather than the typical 5,400rpm of laptop hard disks. Around the sides of the laptop are four USB 2 ports, an SD/MMC/MS media card reader, jacks for a headset (the audio codec supports EAX 4.0), and D-Sub and HDMI video outputs.

The BenQ Joybook R48 is scheduled for release in mid-May for China and Asia Pacific.

The 14-inch Benq Joybook R48 laptop has a lot to offer from the DirectX 11 ATi discrete graphics to the Core i3 processor. The calling card for this notebook is specifications so we’ll get right to them. The Joybook R48 comes with a 14-inch screen with 1366 x 768 native resolution, Intel Core i3 processor, ATI mobility Radeon HD 5450 discrete GPU, up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, either 250, 320 or 500GB HDD storage options, built-in 1.3 mega-pixel webcam, 8x DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, dual 2W speakers and a 4-in-1 card reader. The Joybook R48 really only needs better battery life, which to be semi-exact is only around 3 hours from it’s 6-cell battery. The Joybook R48 at the moment is only available in China and Asia but maybe in the future Benq might bring this notebook to the US and UK.

Need help getting your pictures transfer onto your new ipod Photo? The ipod Photo is a great gadget that I use all the time. Other than the obvious feature the ipod Photo offers of holding all of your music collection, it also stores your photos for easy access and sharing with friends no matter where you are. The 20 gig ipod Photo has the capacity to store 5000 songs or 20000 photos, or a combination of the two. The ipod Photo allows you to play slideshows of your pictures with music. I love having all my pictures with me to share with anyone at anytime.

Getting your pictures onto your ipod Photo is really a very easy process, and there are several options for you to choose from. If your camera is compatible, Apple makes a little gadget called the ipod camera connector. This device attaches your digital camera directly to your ipod for quick transfers. Check Apple.com to determine if your camera is compatible with the ipod camera connector. If your camera is not compatible there are other options to transfer your photos to your ipod Photo. You can save your photos directly onto your computer, make a file and title it ipod photos. Place all the photos that you want on your ipod in this file. Then, go and open the iTunes software and connect your ipod Photo to your computer using the USB cable. In the iTunes software, select the Edit tab in the top row, and scroll down to select Preferences. This will pop up another window where you will select the ipod tab from the top row. From here, select the Photo tab. In this window check the box next to Synchronize Photos From. You then have the option to choose a folder. Browse your computer until you locate your ipod photos file that you made earlier, select this file. Ensure the Copy All Photos button is selected. Select Okay at the bottom. You are now ready to place all of your photos on your ipod. If you do not own a digital camera then the easiest thing to do is try to get your pictures on a CD at the same time you get them developed. Then you can just place the CD in your computer and follow the steps above. Every time you update your ipod the software will look in the ipod photos folder that you created and transfer any new photos onto your ipod Photo.

Now that your ipod Photo has all of your pictures stored in it, you can take it with you and share your memories with your family and friends.

This is a blatant appeal to emotion. Just for kicks what do YOU want to do except regurgitate the same garbage when there IS NOTHING ON EARTH WE CAN DO! Do you want to write, call or email your congressman or senator? History demonstrates the abject idiocy of doing that. It would be just a perfunctory act against the money bastards, which, by the way ARE YOUR CONGRESS PEOPLE AND SENATORS. What do you want to do? I well know what's going on down in the gulf and the decades, if ever, that it will take for nature to clean up yet another oil spill by rich sonsofbitches protected by YOUR government. So, take this stuff an shove it up your ASS!!

Good! He should be locked up!

A British man is facing serious jail time after he plead guilty to 19 counts of creating fake nude photos of actress Emma Watson – with her head on the body of an underage girl!

The photos were uploaded onto the net last month and quickly identified as fake, and officials discovered the photos on 39 year old John Cavanagh's computer!

Ew ew ew! So making fake nude photos of someone isn't enough anymore, he needed to use an underage girl's body?? Deplorable!

The case is currently on hiatus because Cavanagh has dismissed his legal team.

Absolutely disgusting. WTF is wrong with people??

Regarding the bullet proof vests, they don’t seem to be bullet proof as the fabric doesn’t show any texture/shape of armor plates, unless these are Kevlar.

Either way, if I were to go to an area that is under the constant watchful eye of the Israeli army, as most of the occupied West Bank and certainly Gaza are, not only would I take a bullet proof jacket, I would buy a brand new (not surplus) helmet. The targeting of innocent journalists of all nationalities, races and colors by the Israeli army prove that one can never be too careful.

Now, even if these photos were not fakes, that alleged night vision equipment is Gen I, the same stuff you can buy at the Sharper Image. You might as well be carrying a Sony camcorder that has the Nighshot feature as that is far more capable than a Gen I scope.

The alleged electric saw is actually a grinder. What I don’t see on the disc itself is the usual friction and wear and tear marks that metal leaves when cut with such a grinder.

So, they had binoculars, big deal. I carry a pair of binoculars every time I go out hiking. Plus, as everyone who grew up in Israel and/or in the Middle East knows, the lack of open borders ala Europe and North America, tends to raise people’s curiosities. I always carried binoculars with me when traveling to the Dead Sea (to see the Jordanian side – prior to the peace treaty), or to the Golan Heights to see into Syrian territory or to the village of Ghajar, for example, to look at Lebanon across the border. It’s a basic human trait, curiosity.

So?? How is that any different from all the slander & vitriol from the Palestinian apologists? I'll tell you how — Dershowitz has legal facts to back up his statements. All the rest of you have is hatred.

But I'll try one more time. From this site: http://www.rabbis.org/news/article.cfm?id=105559 (emphasis is mine).

” let us not for a moment misunderstand who is responsible for this entirely regrettable incident. The Israeli naval commandoes boarded the ship to enforce a blockade consistent with international law, necessary to prevent the smuggling of missiles and rockets into Gaza, which have repeatedly been fired at innocent Israeli civilians. They were … under orders to not fire unless their lives were in danger. Five ships were taken WITHOUT incident. They only resorted to deadly force on the sixth ship after they were attacked by a lynch mob armed with . For weeks prior to this event, Israeli diplomats pleaded with Turkey and others to arrange for the peaceful and lawful delivery of the humanitarian supplies on board, just as the approximately one million tons of similar supplies HAVE passed into Gaza through Israel since the embargo began. Prior to boarding the boats the Israeli Navy repeatedly urged the flotilla to dock in Ashdod, and warned them not to try to break the blockade, but these appeals were ignored.

Given these facts, responsibility for the deadly outcome does not lie with the Israeli leadership that has repeatedly reached out to the Palestinian people (even now via the US-sponsored Proximity Talks, which those behind this latest event likely tried to undermine) in search of a two-state solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Where responsibility does lie is with the organizers of the flotilla including Turkey's IHH International Relief Fund, an organization with links to extremist Islamic groups. BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION, they were primarily motivated by the desire to break the Israeli blockade and thus sought a violent confrontation. And it lies with Hamas who aided and abetted the goals of the flotilla, so that they could the more easily in the future break the blockade and rearm Gaza to resume its murderous attacks on the citizens of Israel. And more broadly yet, it lies at the door of the cynical orchestrators of the world-wide campaign to delegitimize the one and only Jewish state, a state that allows people of all faiths full freedom of religious and civic expression, and is an unparalleled model of humanitarian concern and support all over the world.”

Last year's dismal performance in World Cup by the United States caused many heads drop and may have hurt the growth the sport's increased popularity in America. The more focused result was the sacking of head coach, Bruce Arena, and a revamping of the U.S. roster by the new head coach, Bob Bradley.

The United States entered Germany '06 with high expectations after much success with Bruce Arena at the helm. Arena coached the team to regional championships in the Gold Cups 2002 and 2005. He oversaw their stunning go at the World Cup in 2002 when the team was ousted by Germany in the round of eight.

These high expectations were certainly warranted after the team qualified for the World Cup after plowing through the final round of qualification with six wins in seven matches, the only loss was to Mexico at Azteca. The U.S. was the first team to qualify from the region and finished ahead of regional rival, Mexico.

However, the team composed heavily of World Cup 2002 veterans struggled during friendly matches in 2006 against opponents such as Morocco, Germany, and Jamaica. Twelve members of the 23-man roster were currently playing in Europe, and the team failed miserably against both the Czech Republic and Ghana. American fans were devastated.

Not long after Bruce Arena had become the coach for Red Bull New York, it became clear that the faces of the U.S. National Team would change. Brian McBride, Eddie Pope, and Claudio Reyna all announced their retirements from international play, and Bob Bradley, then coach of Chivas USA, was named the interim head coach for the U.S. National Team.

Bob Bradley faced a mighty challenge. He needed to turn the team around and do so quickly because summer 2007 was rapidly approaching with the Gold Cup and Copa America on the team's schedule. In June, the U.S. will look to defend its regional championship in the Gold Cup and will then spend July in Venezuela for Copa America, South America's championship, which will feature both the U.S. and Mexico.

In his four matches as interim head coach, Bradley managed to earn three wins and a draw. Although the win against Denmark was against a depleted team whose stars were busy playing in Bundeliga and Premier League matches that weekend, the victories over Mexico and Ecuador were important for preparing the team for their upcoming matches.

Like his predecessor, Bradley will rely on importing U.S. talent from the European clubs, especially because they are entering their off-season. However, thus far, Bradley has not relied on the veteran players; instead, he has called in a number of un-capped, young American players, who have played well.

The Gold Cup roster will feature five English Premier League players: Clint Dempsey (Fulham FC), Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Jay DeMerit (Watford- recently relegated), Tim Howard (Everton) and John Spector (West Ham); also joining the list of yanks abroad are: Frank Simek (Sheffield Wednesday, English Championship), Damarcus Beasley (who recently spent a season with Manchester City but has returned to Eindhoven), Oguchi Onyewu (who spent part of the season with Newcastle but has returned to Stan. Liege) Michael Bradley (SC Heerenveen), Kasey Keller (Monchengladbach- recently relegated), and Benny Feilhaber (Hamburg SV reserves).

The most remarkable thing about this roster is the age difference between Bradley's team and Arena's team. Bruce Arena relied heavily on players who were pushing thirty. Bob Bradley's team, although not as experienced in international competitions, relies more on the future of the U.S. National Team. This roster is closer to twenty than thirty.

Bradley applied the same strategy when scouting the players in the MLS. Players like Jonathan Bornstein, Ricardo Clark, and Brad Guzan will have the opportunity to play along side some of players they will one day replace such as: Frankie Hejduk, Pablo Mastroeni, and Kasey Keller.

The infusion of youth into the roster is the smartest move that Bob Bradley has made. Young players like Justin Mapp, Michael Bradley, and Benny Feilhaber act without over-thinking. Youth may lead to careless mistakes, but it will also prevent the overly cautious play which was on display last summer.

A number of Americans soccer fans may be disappointed to not see Eddie Pope or Eddie Lewis on the roster, but there should be excitement around these players first big appearances for the national team. Consider it a chance to get a preview of what could be during World Cup 2010.

Come June, the U.S. will find itself in a group of four with Trinidad and Tobago, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Moving out of this group into the knock-out round should not be a heavy burden, but that's when the task to defend the title will become difficult. Mexico and Costa Rica are the favorites to move out their respective groups, and both have proven to be fierce competition in the past.

The American's first knock-out game, assuming they finish first in their respective group, will likely be against Panama or Haiti, as Honduras and Canada are likely the favorites to take the second spots in their own groups.

Despite the best efforts from Brondby star and former-MLSer, Jean Phillipe-Peguero, and Atletico Madrid midfielder, Frantz Bertin, the odds of the Caribbean champions getting the better of a Canadian side with Lars Hirshfield (Rosenborg), Atiba Hutchinson (Kopenhaven), Paul Stalteri (Spurs), Daniel Imhof (Bochum), and Kevin McKenna (Cottbus) aren't particularly good. This will be the best Canadian team ever assembled for the Gold Cup.

Panama may find themselves in a similar situation when facing Honduras. With two players in Italy's Seria A: David Suazo and Edgar Alvarez, Honduras will likely have the advantage, especially with the form Suazo demonstrated all season trying to carry Cagliari on his back. Suazon managed to tally 22 goals for his club during the 2006 season. Honduras will also rely on other players overseas including Maynor Suazo (Antalyaspor, Turkey), Amado Guevara (MLS), Ivan Guerrero (MLS), and Samuel Caballero (China).

Panama's one saving grace might be their young goalkeeper, Jaime Penedo, who plays for Osasuna in Spain. Baloy will have to hold down the fort in the back, as he does for Monterrey in Liga Mexicana, and the team's two attackers in the Colombian league, Blas Perez and Roman Torres, will have to find the back of the net if Panama has any hope of finishing higher than third in their group.

The round of eight will likely see the U.S., Costa Rica, Mexico, and Honduras survive into the semi-finals; however, there is a very real chance that the Canadians could take the fourth spot in place of the Hondurans, so long as they can find a way to score. With the U.S. likely facing Costa Rica and Mexico meeting Honduras in the semi's; there is a very real chance of the young Americans coming up short against a Costa Rica side, which heavily consists of Saprissa players.

On the other end of the semi's, Mexico is likely the favorite. In fact, the Mexican National Team is the odds-on favorite to win the whole the thing. After being ousted early during the last Gold Cup, the Mexicans will likely bring an A-class roster, which will include Osorio and Pardo, who are coming off a Bundesliga Championship with Stuttgart. With Salcido (Eindhoven) and Marquez (Barcelona) joining Osorio in the back, this will be an incredibly tough team to beat, in both Copa America and the Gold Cup.

The real feast for most soccer fans begins in the following month with Copa America. Some roster adjustments will likely be made by both the Mexican National Team and the U.S. National Team, as they will face the toughest teams in the world like Brazil and Argentina.

Both the U.S. and Mexico managed to pick unfavorable draws, as neither team ended up in Group A, which is likely the weakest set of teams in the tournament. Mexico, however, has a very real chance of moving into the knock-out rounds, so long as the team can post a win against Ecuador.

Brazil is the clear favorite in said group and will likely have Kaka, Ronaldinho, and Robinho on the roster. They may also call up more unexpected players like: Lincoln (Shalke), Rafinha (Schalke), Vagner Love (Moscow), and Fred (Lyon). No mather who they call in, Brazil is the clear favorite to win their group.

The U.S. was placed in a group with Argentina, Colombia, and Paraguay. Both Paraguay and Argentina played amazingly well in the 2004 Olympics, and Argentina managed to continue such form into World Cup '06. Niether side is a joke.

With Paraguay's lead attackers Santa Cruz and Paredes playing along side Cuevas and Dos Santos, the combinaton of Euro-based attackers and Club America attackers will prove to be a lethal combination. However, with a defense based heavily in Europe, especially with experience in the Premier League, the U.S. should stand a good chance of weathering the storm.

The big “must win” for the U.S. wil come against the Colombian National Team, which seems to see a fair amount of turn over. With most of their current roster based in the domestic league or in Liga Mexicana, this is the opponent, which the U.S. has the best chance of beating. However, it must be noted the attacking skills of players in Colombian league are very strong. The biggest concern for the Americans will be Luis Gabriel Rey of Mexico's Morelia, but Colombia could be the dark horse in the group.

Argentina and Brazil are the heavy favorites in Copa America, and fans all over the world will want to tune-in to catch match-ups like Ronaldinho vs. Messi, Carlos Tevez vs. Robinho, and Javier Mascherano vs. Gilberto Silva. This match would have made the ultimate World Cup match last year, and with the latest edition of Copa America it could become a reality.

Perhaps this summer isn't quite as exciting as its predecessor, but international tournament action promises to be exciting. For American soccer fans it will be the first opportunity to have a look at the team of the future and see them play against some of the best teams in the world. Summer '07 promises to be an excellent soccer showcase.

May 31, 2010 – Few will be surprised by the final three cuts Mexico coach Javier Aguirre named on Monday, finalizing El Tri's 23-man World Cup squad.

Barcelona's Jonathan dos Santos will not be joining older brother Giovani in South Africa, the 20-year-old midfielder being amongst Aguirre's exclusions.  Jonathan had made five appearances for El Tri since his debut in October but was considered a long shot to make the team, not having played a meaningful role in qualifying.

Neither Club América defender Juan Carlos Valenzuela nor Morelia left-sided player Adrian Aldrete – the other two cuts – were surprise omissions, the players having a combined 16 international caps between them.

Mexico's final roster includes three goalkeepers, with América's Guillermo Ochoa set to start ahead of Óscar Pérez and Luis Ernesto Michel.

Aguirre has selected nine players who are natural defenders, led by Barcelona central defender Rafa Marquez.  The captain is joined on a veteran defense by PSV's Carlos Salcido and Francisco Rodríguez, Stuttgart's Ricardo Osorio, and Chivas's Jonny Magallón.  Puma's Efraín Juárez plays right back and can also be moved into the midfield, with Pachuca's Paul Aguilar, AZ's Héctor Moreno, and Tigres' Jorge Torres Nilo all possessing fewer than ten appearances for El Tri.

Aguirre has named only three true midfielders – Gerrado Torrado, Israel Castro, and Andrés Guardado – but in addition to being augmented from the defense corps by players like Juárez, Mexico can use Alberto Medina (Chivas), Adolfo Bautista (Chivas), Giovani dos Santos (Tottenham), Cuauhtémoc Blanco (Veracruz) and Pablo Barrera (Pumas) in attacking midfield or wingers' roles.

The other attackers selected by Javier Aguirre:  Manchester United's Javier Hernández, West Ham United's Guillermo Franco and Arsenal's Carlos Vela.

Mexico plays Italy in Belgium on June 3, their final preparation ahead of June 11's World Cup opener against South Africa.

Roodepoort -
The most-watched tournament on earth sets to kick-off in 10 days time. As the intense excitement reaches fever pitch, Australia – the No.1 football team in Asia – is set to play Denmark in an international friendly, where it will be anything but cordial.

Cesare Prandelli will take over the Italian national side after this summer’s FIFA World Cup.

The Fiorentina coach is one of the most respected in Serie A and has had a successful five year spell with The Viola who he guided to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League last season.

Current Azzurri coach Marcello Lippi has always stressed his intention of departing his post after the World Cup in South Africa. Lippi who guided Italy to the summit of International football four years ago after winning their fourth FIFA World Cup, retuned for a second stint in charge following Roberto Donadoni’s failure to flourish in the 2008 European Championships.

Prandelli who was named Serie A coach of the year in 2009 following his amazing exploits with Fiorentina will now take prime place in one of world football’s most coveted roles. His club gave him permission to speak with the Italian football federation where terms have been agreed for him to step into international management. He has now left the club but has surpassed Fulvio Bernardini as The Gigliati’s longest serving manager.

In his first season as coach he guided Fiorentina to a Champions League place. Unfortunately the Italian match fixing scandal that rocked the sport following the national teams heroics in Germany by winning the World Cup meant that Fiorentina were punished with a fifteen point deduction at the start of the 2005/2006 season as a result of their part in the scandal which also saw their hopes of competing in Europe’s premiere competition vanquished, along with Juventus who were subsequently relegated to Serie B.

Despite the huge points reduction Prandelli remarkably guided The Viola to a top six finish, qualifying them for the UEFA Cup the following campaign. Many had already written off their chances of survival as team morale would be subdued due to their punishment. The former AS Roma boss come up trumps as his achievements landed him with the accolade of Serie A manager of the year.

Although last season’s bottom half finish in the league hadn’t matched his previous exploits with the club, he still steered them to the Champions League knockout stage where their quarter-final hopes were dashed by an Arjen Robben wonder goal at The Stadio Artemio Franchi. Nevertheless a huge achievement for the 1957 European Cup finalists.

The Azzurri are currently preparing for next month’s World Cup. Current Italy coach Marcello Lippi has delivered his appraisal on his upcoming successor as well as refusing to explain his reasons for leaving.

He said:

“The Federation has found the right person.”

“I said that I would guide the team for two years and then I would leave.”

“I don’t want to discuss the reasons for my decision as I will do that after South Africa and not now.”

52 year old Prandelli will now be succeeded at Fiorentina by former Lazio favourite Sinisa Mihajlovic. The Serbian is still seen as a novice to the management fray after only two years in the profession with Bologna and Catania.

Prandelli to take control of The Azzurri after the World Cup” was originally published at Soccerlens.com – Football News.

I know what you’re thinking. That image looks Photoshopped. But it’s not. There was a tiny feline pitch invader during yesterday’s France vs Tunisia pre-World Cup friendly in Rades, Tunisia, and Tunisian left back Yassine Mikari was first on the scene to catch the cat (which if you’ve ever tried to do so, you’ll know is not easy) carry it to the sideline and drop it back in the stands.

Mikari just earned himself about 10,000 bonus points with animal lovers, but – as Chris pointed out – ended any hopes he had of a secondary career as an NFL running back, because he was “carrying that thing like a loaf of bread”. Proof that this really happened is below:

Inevitably, the cat now has a Facebook fan page. Enjoy your fifteen minutes cat.

Oh yeah, the football match. It finished 1-1, with Tunisia taking a fifth minute lead and World Cup bound France equalizing in the 59th minute through a William “I’m not injured, see?” Gallas goal. The big story is that due to defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra being diagnosed with sickle-cell anemia last week, Raymond Domonech has abandoned his (unpopular with the fans) 4-2-3-1 with two defensive mids and switched to a 4-3-3. Which didn’t produce much of an improvement according to Sarah Jeff (sorry!) at France World Cup Blog. Still, the cat thing was cute.
