Please make sure the output voltage your device uses is within 15V to 24V. You can find the output voltage on your laptop or the original ac adaptor that comes with your device.2. Find the correct connector by trying to plug it in the device. We recommend plugging the connector in the device before it is plugged into the AC Adapter.3. Select the correct voltage (determined by your laptop) just by simply moving the voltage switch button with your finger.brbCustomer Review:/b Finally, a good universal laptop charger cordbrAfter my pathetic targus cord stopped working, I was forced to find another, and quick. Luckily I found this bad boy. This adapter looks much like something that is worth the money, and it is. It also has 3 prongs instead of the Targuss 2, which makes it much safer for the user. Also, adapters are straight and small, which mimic more the original cord, instead of taking up more space like the Targus one I had that went left to right. It has a little bigger brick, but at least it works. It has a voltage option on the side as well, which I think will make it work better than one that does not have this option. However, Im not an electrician, so take that with a grain of salt. So if you need a laptop cord, you should definitely consider this one.brbCustomer Review:/b Works fine; be sure to set voltage switchbrLaptop powers up just fine now, after leaving its original power adaptor behind in the hotel. Looks like this adaptor will work fine. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure to set the voltage switch properly before plugging it into your laptop. You have to check the label on the laptop to see what voltage it needs, and then set this adaptors voltage switch to match.br clear=allbrbra href=http://astore.amazon.com/air.compressors.for.sale.reviews-20Air Compressors Reviews/abra href=http://astore.amazon.com/keen.shoes.on.sale-20Keen Shoes Sale/abra href=http://astore.amazon.com/zero.turn.mowers.for.sale.reviews-20Zero Turn Mowers for Sale/abra href=http://astore.amazon.com/petunia.pickle.bottom.diaper.bags.sale-20Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bags/abra href=http://astore.amazon.com/ao.smith.water.heaters.prices.reviews-20AO Smith Water Heaters/abr

NEC VersaPro Ultralite is one amazing ultraportable computer packing a Core i7-620UM ULV processor and a claimed battery runtime of 12 hours. The notebook is just 0.45mm at its thinnest and weighs-in at 897gm. Impressive – Very. Coming to its storage, the manufacture allows you to equip it with either 62GB SSD, 320GB HDD or 160GB HDD and the memory can be configured upto 5GB. You get the choice to run 7, XP Pro or VIsta Business SP1.

From outside, it looks and feel like a netbook, but the specs are of a powerful notebook. Heck, they even found a way to squeeze-in a PC card slot into its tiny frame. The company claims that you can get 12 hours of runtime from it, which, of course, is possible with it, but it increases the weight to 1kg. Usually, the machine comes with a smaller battery which still delivers a respectable runtime of 7.7 hours.

Performance-wise, the 1.06GHz Core-i7 delivers better performance compared to any netbook out there, creaming the latest Z560 2.13 GHz CPU. VersaPro scored 5092 in PCMarks test while the new Sony Vaio P with Z560 could get only 1468. This further confirms that clock speed should not be considered as a litmus test for measuring the performance.

So, what is not great about this netbook ultrapowerful beast? The price. Price starts at 2800 dollars (248,000 Yen) and at that price, you can get nearly 10 netbooks with Atom N450 processor.  [product page]

Thanks for the good advice. The Disk Image option in Disc Copier – Destination allows you to select DVD+DL and then it creates an ISO file without any compression. The ImgBurn software seems to work well also in that it did burn a successful DVD+DL. There may be some incompatibility with ImgBurn and the DELL laptop NEC drive (NEC is not a listed drive in ImgBurn) and I could not proceed with the normal processes which caused the following log message "User has ignored layer break options and instead reverted to VOBU/ECC search!" What ever that means, it worked.

Thanks again. EMC7.1 is still going well. I also bought EMC8 but it only caused conflict with my laptop (even if EMC7 was uninstalled) so I wasted my money. Roxio does not offer a trial EMC2009 so I'm sticking with my EMC7

Questions to Ask Your Wedding Photographer

I made new Photos in the last days – please tell me if you like them:

Vogel Falls by outsideshot

source

Most of my photo shoots come around through word of mouth. Someone mentions their own photos to a friend, and usually mentions the rates for a shoot. Very often, I get interested people based solely on my rates. Whenever that is the case, it is certain that a photo shoot never happens.

I will get an email where the only thing mentioned is how low my rates are, and that they want to make an appointment. They never mention any photos, and they usually have ideas that are nothing like what I do. I can tell when someone has not bothered to look at some of my photos. These people apparently fall off the earth and no-show the appointment.

Very few people are courteous enough to let me know it is not going to work out. It seems the price is right, but I was not.

That is fine. I would not want to be for everyone. This demonstrates to me that there is much more value in a photographer than how much he costs. It will take some work, but finding the right photographer for you will make the experience much better. And give you photos that you love.

I wanted to write a quick guide of what to consider when hiring a photographer for your personal photos. Now this comes from personal experience, so I am sure other photographers have different ideas and expectations. Since that is the case, the number one rule is – communicate with the photographer.

With the affordability of digital cameras, anybody can become a photographer. Becoming a good photographer is another story however. Take a quick look at Craigslist and you can find many pro and would-be photographers in your area. You most likely have a photographer in your family as well. Not just anyone is going to be the best photographer for you though.

Find a Photographer

Determine how much you are willing to spend. Despite just saying cost is not the most important factor, it will give you a guideline for the type of photographer you should look for. Will you be looking at pro photographers with years in the business, or an amateur just getting started? As you look over portfolios, focus on the photographers that create the kinds of photos you would want to be in. Do you want to be in a studio, or at a location?

Ask questions. You are the customer. I do not understand why people feel nervous about creative types like photographers, but do not be shy. Make sure to ask all the questions that you have. It helps to understand who your photographer is, how he works and what he expects of you. Ask about prints and copyright issues. Understand exactly what you are about to get.

Do not haggle for rate discounts. If you do not want to pay the rate he is asking, then move along. This is not a Turkish bazaar.

Share your ideas. This might depend on the photographer, but I personally enjoy when people are comfortable enough to throw out their own ideas. You know what you like, and you probably know what makes you look good and feel comfortable. It is worth a try.

Day of the shoot

Show up on time. Better yet, show up 15 minutes early. Take a few moments to relax and not feel rushed into snapping photos. Depending on the photographer and the situation, if you show up late you may just go home empty handed. It is not uncommon for a photographer to charge a deposit on the appointment. It is probably because he is tired of people being late or no showing.

If you are going to be late, let the photographer know. If your appointment is at 7 a.m., do not call at 7:15 and say you are going to be another 20 minutes late. That is just rude. Also, do not pull a no show. If you cannot or do not want to shoot anymore, have a little courtesy and make a phone call.

Do not try to sneak in anything you have not already talked about. The price you were quoted reflects the photo shoot you discussed. Do not wait until halfway through the shoot to try to sneak Aunt Mildred in. Be respectful of the photographer and his time.

After the shoot

Give credit to the photographer. If you do not give credit where it is due – at the least you can expect some bad karma, but at the worst expect some copyright infringement litigation. Together you can determine the photo rights, but most likely, your photographer will tell you how it is going to be.

If you love your photos and had a great experience, tell your friends. There are so many options available now. Do not feel like you have to settle on anything. Become an active participant in your photos. You do not have to be a professional model to create great images that fit your personality. You just have to think beyond the white shirt and blue jeans – and find the photographer that fits you.

With huge thanks to Charlotte Robertson Photography, we have an exclusive set of photographs from last night’s reserve friendly at Curzon Ashton, where Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side cruised to a 4-0 win while giving the club’s brand new home kit a first public outing.

NB: If reproducing these pictures elsewhere, please ensure that due credit is given to both the photographer (Charlotte Robertson Photography/www.cr-photo.co.uk) and this website.

“Sorry to be a stickler but Lambics are not region specific. They are not covered by that kind of law (PDO or PGI).”

It would appear the wrong story frame was published by CBS after the completion of the World Cup final. The fact-checking department was clearly nowhere to be found – probably out celebrating the Spanish win.

(Do note the final score was not SCORE to SCORE, either.)

Interchangeable Magnetic Photo Cube You Make in Minutes

Photo bracelets are fun to make and very unique. There are many different ways to make them, all of which start with tiny holders for the photo. You can find many different bitty frames at a craft store. Some are made as charms that you normally hang on a charm bracelet, others are just tiny frames that crafters can use to attach to magnets, scrapbooks and other projects.

The size and style of the bracelet you make will decide the size of frame you need. One easy bracelet is done by using stretch cord and beads. Measure a piece of cord, the approximate size of your wrist, as well as a couple of extra inches for tying. Thread the charm-type picture frame onto the cord, then begin stringing the beads on one side. Match the pattern and the amount of beads and string them onto the opposite side. Tie. Squirt glue into the hole of one bead, on the under-wrist side of the bracelet, and position the knot inside the bead. This will conceal the knot and make the bracelet look more professional.

Measure three pieces of cord, each the size of your wrist measurement, plus a couple of inches for tying. String any pattern of beads onto the cord, choosing beads that aren't too bulky or strangely shaped. After you've strung the beads stretch them over something that is the approximate size of your wrist, like a coffee cup, glue bottle, or another object. Align the beads to where the three strands are butted together and the tied part of the strings are positioned together.

Choose a picture frame that is the approximate length of the three strands together. Place glue on the back perimeter of the picture frame, after inserting the picture, then glue it over the place where the ends are tied together. This makes a cute bracelet that any mom or grandmother would love. And, you can use four or five strands, too. Choose the size you want the bracelet to be then select a frame, with no loop for hanging, to attach to the bracelet. The same designs can be done to make a choker-type necklace to match.

A different design is done with a piece of fabric or vinyl. Choosing vinyl will allow you to omit the sewing. If you'll be making a fabric bracelet, cut a strip that's a couple of inches longer than the circumference of your wrist. Stitch edges and ends. Apply snaps or velcro. Attach the photo frame to the top wrist portion of the band. If you're using colored vinyl, just install the preferred closure and glue on the picture frame. It's very easy to make a matching choker – just cut the fabric or vinyl longer.

One other idea is to braid leather strips together to make the bracelet or necklace. You can purchase hardware to make a metallic closure or make the pieces where they tie together. Use fabric glue to attach the mini frame to the braid. Charm bracelets are everywhere but homemade picture bracelets and necklaces are rare. You'll be the talk of the town when everyone sees yours, and your loved ones will be thrilled to see how much they mean to you.

Dazzboard Syncs Your Videos, Photos, Music, and Even iTunes Library Across Devices

If you've been looking for a simple solution to syncing your media across computers and multiple devices from a basic MP3 player to your Android phone, Dazzboard is an impressive and free syncing tool.

Dazzboard is a web-browser based but local syncing solution. You download the Dazzboard plug-in which integrates into Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and Safari. Once you've installed the plug-in, you visit Dazzboard.com and use your web browser to manage your files. It's a strange setup in the sense that it feels like you're using a web-based syncing solution but you're actually doing all the file moving and syncing on your own computer.

As strange as it might seem at first the actual process of syncing music and photos on our test machine between Windows 7 and the HTC Hero Android-based phone was a breeze. The Dazzboard auto-detected all the devices we plugged into it: iPods—phones, and portable media devices—without a hitch. You can check to see if Dazzboard is compatible with your devices here.

If you're away from your home machine and you'd like to take Dazzboard for a spin, check out their virtual demo here. Aside from the lack of tiny lag during the initial detection and syncing, the demo version is identical to the experience of using it with a real device.

Have a favorite tool for syncing movies, music, and more to your portable devices? Let's hear about it in the comments.

I'm going to try to post some photos. I resized them to 1024 (longest side) and reduced the file size to 250 kb or less. However, that in itself, reduced the quality significantly.

Just an update: In looking back, I didn't change the brightness in all that many. Mostly, I just cloned out some distracting background stuff, whitened teeth, etc. But, I did use the Smart Photo Fix in PSP Photo X2 on a few…..which brightened some, as well as changing the shadows and highlights.

Another update: I contacted the Walgreens store manager. He had me to resubmit a couple of photos and he had them printed immediately. He said they still looked kind of dark. He said he would have them try to lighten them and then mail the order to me. So, I don't know if it's going to make any difference.

Is there any way to ensure that pics print out the way they look on my monitor? It's hard to make adjustments when it might not print out the way it looks.

Anyway, I'll post another reply to this thread with some samples. But, like I said, after resizing them, the quality is drastically reduced. The images now show jpeg artifacts or pixelizing or something. The clarity of the pics Walgreens printed is okay. It's just that they are too dark (for the most part).

The Top Gadgets Announced at CES 2010

Lenovo Product Launch by mangochico

Technology always captivates consumers. Some of the best gadgets and technological advancements are introduced each year in the International CES in Vegas, really addressing new meaning in pioneer and intelligent devices.

The best gadgets announced at CES 2010, according to experts and consumer reviews, are the following:

a) Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid

Featuring fascinating notebooks with IdeaPad U1 Hybrid on the lead, Lenovo has really made a striking impression at this year's CES. Being the first PC in the industry that allows users to remove the screen and switch to a six-screen multitouch tablet that functions independently with its own processor and operating system, the IdeaPad U1 integrates Lenovo's Hybrid Switch technology allowing both PCs to function perfectly on the two processors effortlessly.

Featuring textured surface on the inside and a sleek, transparent dark red cover that cannot but capture the consumer's eye, the shiny round notebook comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon ARM processor in tablet mode, 11.6″ HD LED display, 4GB of memory RAM and 160GB storage capacity on the SSD running on Windows 7 Home Premium. When pulled out of its showcase, Lenovo switches to Skylight UI that functions as a detached tablet with an ARM processor running alongside Lenovo's customized Linux Skylight operating system.

The base, when detached, continues to work as its own Core 2 Duo SU41 opening up potential for the U1 to truly act as two devices in one. Both laptop and tablet modes support over 5 hours of 3G Web browsing and up to 60 hours of 3G standby. The tablet's edge-to-edge glass is comfortable and the chromed edges tempting, but some areas that need attention are the keyboard (too flat for Lenovo's standards), and perhaps ergonomics (notebook weight is 3.7 pounds, tablet weight is 1.6 pounds).

The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 Hybrid is not expected to hit the market before June 1st, 2010, while its suggested retail price is $999.

b) Motorola Backflip smartphone

Scheduled for a global release at the Q1 2010, the Backflip comes with a 528-MHz Qualcomm MSM 7200A processor on Google Android 1.5 OS, 3.1″ touchscreen that natively supports 320 x 480 resolution, Wi-Fi, 3G and 5-megapixel camera. Besides, the device supports Moto Blur social-networking add-ons, Bluetooth and a 2GB memory card that can be expanded up to 32GB.

However, the best asset of the Backflip is its unique design. When it is closed, both the screen and the keyboard face out. The device can be flipped in a V-shape or totally flat to watch a movie or it can be used as a picture frame or alarm clock. When the device is open, it allows users to navigate on its touchscreen or use a trackball for navigation.

c) Sony HDR-XR550V camcorder

Featuring a 240GB HDD, 3.5″ LCD with 1920 x 1080 Full HD video recording, 12-megapixel still image capture with wide angle Sony G Lens with 10x optical zoom and Direct Copy feature, Sony HDR-XR550V camcorder is a unique camera that enable users to capture astonishingly smooth video from wide angle to full telephoto shooting.

Besides, the HDR-XR550V is a great device to experience low-light sensitivity with enhanced image clarity and considerably reduced grain due its revolutionary 'Exmor R' CMOS sensor. Designed exclusively for compact cameras and camcorders, the 'Exmor R' CMOS sensor is intended for shooting video in lower lighting conditions with superior results. Also, the Sony G Lens offers enhanced optical performance delivering bright, accurate color reproduction and sharp, astonishingly detailed images.

d) Panasonic VT25 Plasma HDTV

Panasonic announced the release of the new plasma VIERA VT25 Series that is expected to hit the market in the spring of 20102 and offers users the full HD 3D capability. The set will include one pair of 3D glasses for an unforgettable 3D experience and an active LC shutter system. What is even more impressive than offering the 3D glasses – at a time that no other manufacturer provides them – is that the left and the right lens of the glasses lightens and darkens successively and too quickly to be perceived, while the TV displays the corresponding left and right-eye-specific images at the same time. The result is Panasonic's 'Full HD 3D' content of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels for each eye.

Besides, the set features Skype video calling, Wi-Fi connection (optional), the option to add Pandora, Twitter, Netflix and Fox Sports to own content through VieraCast interactive suite and infinite Black Pro, among others.

NEC announced LaVie S Laptop today in Japan. This laptop is implementing the Intel’s Next Gen Calpella PC platform, wher it will be based on the 45nm Nehalem Processor architecture and the adaptive snoozing features on its new wireless chipset, allowing NEC LaVie S laptop to scales down its radio power as low as possible when the data transmission is not so active.

NEC LaVie S laptop is also one of the wannabe slim 15.6-inch laptop because the thickness has closely ‘thin’ at 35mm only. Well, if you have to compare it with the latest slim type laptop, NEC LaVie S laptop sure looks a lot thicker. But the thickness does come with some reasons…

NEC LaVie S laptop has a wide 15.6-inch LED-backlit display (support 1366×768), 1.86GHz Celeron P4500 or 2.26GHz Core i5-430M CPU, 2/4GB of RAM, 320GB/500GB HDD, Integrated graphic card, DVD writer (this is one of the reason for the thickness), 10/100 Ethernet, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and it has been loaded with either Window 7 Home Premium or Professional 64bit.

As for the price, NEC LaVie S laptop is considered as the mid-stream laptop because it has the starting price at $1,082. Will start selling on April 22nd.

The picture might not be super clear, but what you are looking at here is a thicker Dell laptop with the insides all taken out leaving a shell and in that shell, Two Dell Adamo laptops fit snugly inside just indicating exactly how thin they are.

The video below shows a guy taking all the insides out of the chunky laptop and replacing the insides with a cloth and a band that can be used to life the smaller laptops out of the thinner laptops.

MicGadget go on to suggest that the same should be tried with a couple of MacBook Air's and a MacBook Pro of similar size.

5 Elements to Being a Good Still Photographer on the Set of an Independent Film

I made new Pictures in the last couple of months – please tell me if you think they are good:

SCHWARZ - ROT - GOLD ! ! ! by Werner Schnell (1.stream)

Most people have probably heard of situations where a wedding photographer and videographer did not get along together during a wedding assignment.  When a couple is in the process of getting married, they may not ever have been aware that their photographer and videographer were arguing with each other the entire time.  Both the videographer and photographer are vying for a chance to shoot the wedding without one getting in the way of the other.  Disagreements and lack of planning between the two vendors can lead to not only an embarassing confrontation between the videographer and photographer, but it can also result in bad and untimely photographs and video shots.  What can a couple do to help the photographer and videographer get along and work together smoothly during your wedding? Before you hire your photographer and videographer, look and see how long both vendors have been working in the business.  The longer a vendor has been working, the more experience they have working with other vendors.  When going through the interview process, ask the vendor how they work alongside other vendors.  Get a feel of whether or not your photographer hates working with videographers and if the attitude is the same the other way around.  You definitely do not want to hire people that are not going to get along with others.  This can really be a recipe for disaster. When you do hire your photographer and videographer, make sure that they contact each other and get to know one another.  Most couples are suprised that in most cases, the first time that a photographer and videographer will speak to one another is on the wedding day.  Let them get the feel for each other's styles and preferences for covering a wedding.  This will help them create a comfortability between each other.Make an itinerary for your day, and make sure that your photographer and videographer receive it at least a week before the wedding.  Any special events, locations, or activities that the couple and the families will do during the wedding day must be in the itinerary.  If there are any questions about the itinerary, they can be anwered before the wedding day.   Staying on the wedding interary schedule will alleviate stress to not only the couple but also the vendors.  Any specific rules or restrictions pertaining to shooting at a particular location must be discussed with your videographer and photographer.  If a church is only allowing your vendors to shoot at specific spots inside the location, the photographer and videographer must discuss these issues between each other before they arrive at the event to assure they don't get in the way of each other. And just a small side tip…Make sure your photographer and videographer are given priority to shoot your wedding over friends and family members that may have brought  cameras as well.  Remember, you are paying a lot of money for these people to shoot your wedding.  Let the professionals handle it.

  • le plan de situation permettant de contextualiser l'essai ;
  • le plan moyen d'action pour se rapprocher de l'action ;
  • le plan de détail augmentant la pertinence d'une narration ;
  • le portrait, souvent en situation ;
  • l'instant saisissant un geste, un échange, c'est le clou de l'essai ;

I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday weekend.  The studio will be closed until Tuesday for the holiday; emails will be returned then. It is so stunning here in Chicago today; hope you can enjoy the weather! Here is a little sneak from a recent session. So many good things to share soon…

Claudia Schiffer’s Black, Blonde And Bespeckled For Stern Fotografie’s 60th Issue

Claudia Schiffer dons an array of outfits (supermodel Marie Antoinette? Biker from The Village People?) for the 60th issue of German photography magazine Stern Fotografie.

The notorious Karl Lagerfeld flipped through reams upon reams of Claudia’s work over the past 20 years and decided on 50 of his favorite photos.

Which of these six covers would you want on your coffee table?

Photo Collage
This is a simple and easy gift that will be greatly appreciated by friends and family. It can be a specific theme, or just all about the people you love. I have given photo collages to many of my family and friends. If you frame the photo collage, it can actually make for an interesting piece of pop art.

One of my favorite things to do with photo collages is to focus around a famous quotation. I will search online for quotations that fit the theme I am going for (mothers, family, friends, babies, etc.). Once I pick the perfect quotation, I print it out on a decorative piece of scrapbooking paper. This becomes the center of my collage. The other photos are then arranged around that quotation, and it makes for a fun, personal, and thought provoking work of art.

For a detailed step-by-step guide, read “How to Make a Photo Collage.”

Photo DVD Slideshow
If your computer has a DVD burner, it is likely that you have the software to make a DVD slideshow. Although it is not always highlighted on the packaging, most DVD burning programs allow you to make a slideshow with photos and music, which can be played on any DVD player.

The program I use is called “MyDVD,” but most DVD software programs do have a slideshow feature. To create a slideshow, you will need to pick between 20-40 photos. This is usually the amount of photos that fit within the constraints of a single song. You can also do several slideshows, each with different music.

You can even add a slideshow at the end of a DVD with home movies on it, or vice versa. For my mother-in-law's birthday, we made her a DVD slideshow with tons of family photos. At the very end, we added a video of my husband and our son singing “Happy Birthday.”

This is an especially great gift for family who live out-of-town. It is cheap to ship and a way to keep in touch.

Photo Magnets
Everyone loves magnets! They can be stuck on the refrigerator or dishwasher at home, or for those work in an office, they can be stuck on the filing cabinets for a great way to personalize your office space.

Photo magnets are a fun gift and easy to make. First, you need to decide on the size. You can use a regular 4×6 snapshot or you can use a wallet size photo. The process is similar, but slightly different for each.

For a 4×6 photo-

First, have the photo laminated. You can buy at-home laminating materials, or you can take it to somewhere like Kinkos, where they will do it for you in a machine.

Second, buy magnetic tape that has adhesive on the back. You can cut it into strips to fit the photo. Cut one strip for the top and one strip for the bottom.

Finally, adhere the magnetic strips to the photo, and you have a photo magnet.

For a wallet size-

First, I recommend buying a pack of business card shaped magnets with adhesive backing. These can be purchased at most office supply stores. I recommend Baumgarten's Business Card Magnets, which come in a pack of 25. Next, you can laminate the photo if you would like. It does make for a longer lasting gift, as it will not get smudged. Peel the adhesive paper off of the magnets, and stick it onto the photo, cutting off any excess.

Placemats
This is a great gift for families with small children, as they can easily be wiped clean. Young children also love looking at photos. I recommend making a set of four.

First, buy a colorful poster board and cut it into four rectangles.

Next, cut your photos into fun shapes and glue them to the poster board pieces. You can even embellish with stickers, magazine cutouts, and glitter.

Finally, have the placemats laminated. A copy place like Kinkos will usually do this for relatively cheap.

Digital Scrapbook
If you are not a crafty type, this is probably the perfect photo gift idea for you. Creative Memories offers a free download of a program that allows you to scrapbook digitally. The templates are pre-designed to match whatever themes you download (each theme has to be downloaded separately, but all are free). The templates are arranged by the number of photos you would like to put on a page, and also have boxes for you to type in titles or journaling.

Making a scrapbook using this program can be done relatively quickly, even within an hour. Plus, you do not need to shop for any of the supplies. Once you have finished your scrapbook, they send it to you in the mail.

Lenovo TFT Monitor billig bestellen

Ah, yes! The technology demon continues to rear its face, not only in the consumer market but in schools, businesses and entertainment industry as well. Keeping up on the influx of technological advancements would be like having a second job. Computers, televisions, Blue-Ray and upconverter DVD players, gaming, Global Position satellite units and surround sound speaker systems, oh my! Those not ready to embrace the technological advancements of the times could be tail spinning back in time, to the days of the cave man. The laptop computer has become such a staple product in today's day and age, that it seems like everyone has one, and for good reason! Like the American Express Card states ” don't leave home without it”, families across the world have incorporated that slogan to include cell phones and laptops as well. Selecting the right laptop should not only be geared towards you own unique specifications but could save you money as well by not going over board by purchasing a laptop that contains features over and above those needed by you.

When it comes to selecting the right laptop their are a number of excellent brands with which to choose from. Sony, Hewlett Packard, Dell, Acer, Compaq, Toshiba and Mac and the most common brands on the market when it comes to laptops. You have to next decipher what it is that you want out of a laptop? Is this for business, recreation, gaming, surfing the web, graphical wizardry, multi-tasking, downloading and looking at pictures, movies, songs and videos and convenience. All of these features should be looked at, to some extent, to help you weed out features you don't need. Taking this step will probably help to reduce the price you will have to pay for the laptop by not paying for the extra features. Comparable to purchasing a car, you wouldn't buy a vehicle with a V-8 engine if you don't need the power, or purchase Satellite Radio if you have no intentions of listening to the radio much, or buy the DVD player and monitor for the car if you don't have any children. These present extra price burdens that don't need to be felt in your wallet or pocket books.

Some of the more pertinent aspects that can have an impact on the price of the laptop you plan on purchasing are: amount of memory, size and weight, Blue-Ray and Blue tooth compatibility, processor speed, graphics card and memory dedicated to it, size of hard drive, ease of operation, web camera, sound, brand name and place of purchase.

Weeding through these variables will allow you to come up with a plan of action while being your tool and guide in selecting the laptop that is going to best suit you and your objective for buying a laptop in the first place.

If you are one of those who uses a computer to check E-mail, web surf, download files and pictures occasionally, then you really don't need to be concerned with the amount of memory, processor speed, graphics card details, Blue-Ray and Blue tooth compatibility and other advanced features as a standard model laptop will suffice. Why spend an extra couple hundred dollars on options and features that you are not going to use? A basic laptop costing in the $500.00-$650.00 range should offer you the right amount of features to get you on line, allow you to listen to music while downloading songs, pictures and videos can also be accomplished. You are looking at 1-2 gigs of memory and 100-250 GB hard drive which is more than enough to do what you want to as far as multi tasking and downloading. Depending on the brand you will be dealing with either AMD Athlon or Intel Celeron or the Pentium Dual Core processor with a speed of about 1.7 to 2.0. The faster the processor speed, the quicker the computer will perform the function you want, including loading and opening times as well as programs requiring steeper processor speeds. In all likelihood, if you are just a casual computer user, you will have no problem with this processor speed range.

For the more advanced computer literate person looking to upgrade their laptop in terms of memory, video/graphics card, sound card, processor speed and type of processor as well as other key features, you will likely be spending closer to the $800.00-$1300.00 range. Processor speed will be of utmost importance as many programs and processes that you will be running will require fast CPU usage and processing speeds for spreadsheets, graphs, presentations, power point, and games. Many of todays games are very detailed, intricate and realistically stunning, but without the faster processor speeds with memory that is designated to the video card and a special video mode known as Open GL, the graphics will not look as vibrant and the game will not work like it should, smooth and continuous. Laptops in this price range will also contain 3-4 gigabytes of memory and 250-350 GB hard drive to store all sorts of data, music, videos and pictures, and make your computer work more efficiently. A great way to ensure that you have enough memory (RAM) dedicated to a laptop is to look at some of the requirements for various games and programs you plan on running. Take the requirements of the more advanced programs and games and double that number. This will ensure that you have enough memory to handle the various programs and games you wish to perform. Hard drive is important as well with transfer rate(RPM's) being a good indicator of how good the hard drive is. Long transfer rates will slow down a computer's performance when transferring large files. Thus it is best to have a hard drive that puts out 7200 RPM IDE or greater to assure that your specifications are met. Standard RPM is 5400 RPM IDE with the highest transfer speed being an SCSI drive which requires its own card.

As for the sound aspect, most laptops are pretty even with sound card and speaker support. For the most part, the speaker and sound cards are OK for many of the programs, music, movie and presentations. However, if you are like me, it helps to purchase external speakers and noise reduction headphones to reduce noise and increase crisp highs and deep lows associated with great music, movies and games as well. If you love the high quality of Blue-Ray Movies their are laptops that are Blue-Ray compatible, though pricey! Blue Tooth compatibility, web cam, fingerprint scanner, instead of memorizing passwords, can also be obtained.

What it all boils down to is what you ultimately want to do with the laptop, how much you plan on using it and what features tickle your fancy with the price you are going to pay. It always helps to read up on customer reviews as well as reviews by professionals in electronics magazines and also check various stores and on line venues for deals. Just to offer some insight, it makes no sense to pay more, out of pocket, for features you don't care about or will likely never use. Save the money you would have spent and get a nice firewall and anti-virus program such as those provided by McAfee or Norton!!!! That will be money well spent and safeguard your computer, privacy and piece of mind!
